Implementation of Circular Economy Principles in the Field of Construction Waste Management

Circular economy is understood as a system of principles in the field of production and consumption, implying the reuse, restoration and recycling of the existing materials. Today during the period of active construction of new and reconstruction of old buildings, demolition of structures for new buildings, as well as the renovation program, significant amounts of various types of construction waste are generated. Unlike municipal solid waste, most of the construction waste may contain toxic substances and be unsafe for the environment and humans. In order to take care of the environment and human health, the issue of waste disposal arises not only among enterprises, organizations, but also among individuals. In addition, the use of construction waste as the basis for the extraction of secondary material resources and production of new materials is a cost-effective solution. Implementation of the principles of circular economy in relation to the field of construction waste management is an extremely relevant area of research.Downloads
