Green" Investments in Russia: Status, Problems and Risks

Abstract

The development of "green" economy is an important step towards creating sustainable future for humanity linking economic progress with environmental and social needs of modern society. "Green" economy includes many directions and elements. One of the priorities is "green" investment, which differs from the usual one in purpose and object. "Green" investments do not set the primary goal of making a profit. They are more aimed at supporting ecologization, preserving environment and more responsible attitude of enterprises to their activities, while taking into account social, environmental and ethical aspects. The purpose of the article is to analyze the current state and problems of "green" investment and to identify the main risks in the development of "green" financial instruments. The object of the study is the instruments of "green" financing. The subject of the study is the current state of "green" investment. The research is based on special methods of scientific research: the method of grouping data and their graphical representation. The article identifies and analyzes the principles of "green" economy, the fundamental and key guidelines for creating sustainable and balanced economic system that contributes to environment protection and well-being of society. The goals and objectives facing "green" economy are analyzed in the section of goals of "green" economy. The study examines and analyzes the main problems of attracting investments in "green" economy and suggests methods to solve them. After identifying the main problems of attracting investments in "green" economy, the mechanisms of attracting investments in "green" economy are also analyzed. An extensive list of risks affecting "green" economy is also analyzed, as well as measures are proposed to minimize them.
