Structural Modernization of the Economy as an Initial Condition for Economic Growth Acceleration and Increase of Labor Productivity in Russia

Introduction. Constantly low labor productivity with relatively low unemployment, as well as low growth rates of the Russian economy, are the symptoms of serious problems of formation and implementation of economic policy, that significantly actualizes the necessity to find new theoretical and practical approaches to improve its effectiveness and efficiency. Hence, analytical and predictive studies of the potential for accelerated technological development of Russian economy based on its structural modernization are of particular relevance. The relevance of such studies significantly increases in the context of hybrid war of Western countries against Russia (sanctions, direct participation in the military conflict in Ukraine, and attempts to isolate Russia internationally). All these factors stipulate the necessity for its economy to adapt to Western sanctions in a short time and to mobilize in order to ensure military needs to fulfill the tasks in Ukraine. At the same time, the tasks of economic growth acceleration and labor productivity increase should be also carried out with maximum efficiency and effectiveness. All this will determine structural and dynamic characteristics of Russian economy development in the near future and will have systemic impact on its development in the medium and long term. The aim of the work is to study the impact of structural modernization of Russian economy on labor productivity increase and developing conceptual foundations of economic growth acceleration and labor productivity increase. Methodology. In the course of the research, methods of generalization, comparison, factor analysis, and expert assessments were used. Results. The results of the study are identification and assessment of the factors under the influence of which the modern model of economic development of Russia was formed. Proposals and additions to the modernization concept of economic development model of Russia and labor productivity increase.Downloads
