Industrial Complex of Perm Territory as the Basis for the Development of Export Potential of the Region under New Conditions

Geopolitical tensions, globalization with simultaneous sanction restrictions and digital transformations have created new conditions for external economic activity (EEA) for the Russian Federation, under which the companies and organizations are forced to reconsider orientation of external economic activity and interact with friendly countries, while building their activities in accordance with the provisions of import substitution policy implemented in the country. Perm Krai is traditionally one of the industrial centers of the Russian Federation, where powerful industrial sector has been formed on the basis of the richest natural resource base producing unique products according to world standards that are exported to various countries of the world. The article provides an overview of Perm Region export, defines a list of the most promising industrial enterprises and companies that can make up export potential of the region, and considers support measures and prospects for the development of export potential under new conditions based on characteristics of industrial complex of the region. The conducted scientific research allows making a conclusion that industrial complex of Perm Region is focused on export production and has a significant potential for its expansion. Due to the richness and diversity of natural resources of the region the exports structure is quite diverse. However, under new economic conditions, significant reorientation of export ties is required as well as increase in non-primary exports. To implement them successfully effective measures of state support are necessary. Methods of comparison, systematization and data analysis are used in the research.Downloads
