Modern Aspects of Digitalization of Catering Sector

Abstract

Catering industry is developing very dynamically all over the world, that causes urgent need for technologization of most business processes of both delivery-oriented enterprises and stationary cafes and restaurants. Large-scale digitalization of this sphere implies the necessity to automate organizational, technical, financial and managerial components of the business, including the format of the so-called smart house, introduction of robotization of the production process and the use of technological self-service mechanisms, technologization of entertainment and emotional components of the presentation and serving of dishes and drinks. The possibility of complex application of the most modern hardware and technical solutions in the kitchen, in the hall, delivery, accounting, technical infrastructure, personnel management are meant, as well as promoting oneself on the market and presenting one’s products in the virtual space. In this regard, it is proposed to develop and implement digitalization concept of catering company, which assumes systematic approach to introduction of modern information technologies in all business working procedures. Taking into account the specifics of the enterprise the elements of the concept can be fully or partially implemented depending on whether it is a delivery service, a small coffee shop or a large restaurant.
