Functions and problems of Bank of Russia in realisation of the state monetary and credit policy

Abstract

The central Bank of the Russian Federation occupies heavy place in macroeconomic regulation as it influences cumulative demand of the population, credit activity of commercial banks, price stability, the exchange rate and investment activity. That is why competent realization of monetary and credit policy is necessary which will result in increase of the standard of living of the population and creation of favorable conditions for balanced economic growth. The article is devoted to consideration of the basic directions of monetary and credit policy and defining of their influence on economic situation in the country for 2015-2020. The analysis has been carried out on the basis of the following data: inflation rate, key rate, investments into fixed capital, assets of the Bank of Russia and specifications of obligatory reserves. Views on the efficiency of realization of monetary and credit policy of the Bank of Russia for the investigated period have been stated. Besides the questions of business, financial sector and the population support due to coronavirus were discussed.
