Assessment of the Investment Appeal of the Region

Abstract

Development of innovative economy in Russia causes the necessity to stimulate the investment activity of the regions. Under conditions of economy digitalization, increase of investment appeal of the regions promotes Gross Domestic Product growth and as a consequence, favorable investment climate. The positive tendency of investments volumes allows satisfying economic, social and cultural needs of the citizens of the country. In spite of the fact that federal authorities undertake considerable measures in the sphere of economic policy aimed at increase of investment appeal of Russia, this indicator is low value, and within the country the investment climate of the subjects is extremely heterogeneous. Therefore, in this situation improvement of investment appeal of the region is possible with application of various legal, economic, personnel, and administrative tools. In the article the authors estimate the investment appeal of the region on the basis of private potentials and private risks system. As the results of the complex analysis, the basic negative tendencies interfering attraction of investment resources are revealed. The authors reveal the priority directions influencing growth of the investment appeal. The forecast of investment potential change of the Orel region is made.
