Abstract

In the article new approaches to overbooking in tourist and hotel spheres and its feature are characterized. The spectrum of traditional variants of overbooking use aimed at minimization of rooms standstill and at productivity increase of hotel enterprises activity have been added by more rigid variants aimed at getting of super-profit when overbooking deprives ofthe customer of tourist services for which he has paid under “early booking” action that allows initiators realizing the offer under higher price in the period of maximum demand. Similar situations disbalance tourist agencies activity, and essentially complicate mutual relations with clients and require great efforts on their overcoming. In each case the alternative solution is made on the individual scenario and in the absence of rules of actions at the events of overbooking. The urgency of legalisation problem and legal regulation of overbooking, restoration of broken right of tourist service consumption and variants of the consumers problems solution in overbooking situation is presented.
