PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS OF ANTIMONOPOLY REGULATION AND INCREASE OF ECONOMY COMPETITIVENESS

Abstract

The analysis of antimonopoly law under modern conditions is carried out. The basis of the analysis is the study of the antimonopoly law and suppression of monopolistic activity. The basic statutory acts regulating competitive relations in Russia are considered, comparison with foreign estimations is carried out. The European Commission uses two-level methodology in infliction of penalties. The conclusion is that without policy harmonization concerning the struggle against cartels at the level of member states it is really very difficult to introduce the system of infliction of penalties for cartel activity with criminal sanctions at the level of European Union. At the same time it is necessary to notice, that current indicators naturally reflect the development level of antimonopoly regulation in Russia and movement towards conformity to world tendencies.
