Soft Skills as a Factor of Competitive Advantages Formation in Professional Activity

The article deals with the problem of formation of soft skills among the students of higher educational institutions in order to be successful in their future professional activities. It is an increasingly common view that soft skills development is crucial to achieve high results in many areas. However, there is no clear understanding of the way to solve this problem. The purpose of the study is to determine activities that contribute to students’ motivation to form soft skills on the basis of theoretical analysis of these skills as a factor of competitive advantages in professional activity. The article reveals the concept of soft skills and their significance for professional activity, as well as theoretical and practical methods of soft skills formation. Recommendations on the interaction of stakeholders (university, employer, student) in soft skills formation among graduates of higher educational institutions are presented. Data from official reports on the results of domestic and foreign studies were used as an information base.Downloads
