The article presents the analysis of the main ideas of two works of Adam Smith and the degree of their influence on the world economy. Attention is drawn to the author's personality, the time period of his life, and the events taking place in Scotland in the XVIII century as these factors could not but affect the worldview of Adam Smith and his work. The degree of influence of the ideas of the author of The Theory of Moral Sentiments. and An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nation on the Russian economy is considered.Downloads
