Slowdown of Economic Growth in Russia: Causes and Ways out of Stagnation

Abstract

Modern Russian economy is going through a difficult period - tense political situation in the world, oil price fluctuations, sanctions, and other external factors interfere with the dynamic growth of GDP and stable development of the Russian Federation. Internal factors, formed as a result of the global economy and complicated relations with international community had the decisive impact on the state of the economy. Russian government needs to dispose of the available resources properly, overcoming the period of stagnation and creating a stable platform for continued growth of Russian economy. In the article short-term period of growth is described, the reasons of stagnation are analyzed and the ways of returning to active growth of the economy are suggested.
