ESTIMATION OF INVESTMENT ACTIVITY INFLUENCE ON THE DYNAMICS OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF RUSSIA DURING SANCTIONS

Abstract

Investments take the central place in expansion of production potentials of the country and economic growth. Production process of the basic means demands considerable capital investments assuming constant updating, reconstruction and equipment modernization in order to maintain high competitiveness level of the organizations. The urgency of the work is stipulated by the necessity to define the degree of influence of investments on the dynamics of gross domestic product, especially under conditions of sanctions and their influence on the development of Russian economy. In the article macroeconomic indicators of Russian economy development from 2011 up to 2017 are analyzed with the use of the method of correlation analysis. The problems are revealed and the factors influencing investment development in Russia are defined. The research objective was to estimate the influence of investment activity on gross domestic product, dynamics of investments into fixed capital, structure of investments into reproduction of the basic means according to branch characteristic. The analysis allows the authors to draw a conclusion that investments into fixed capital are the real basis capable to provide economic development of production, innovative competitive production winning the new markets. Efforts of the Government of the Russian Federation and all power systems are concentrated on the provision of equal conditions of competition, property rights protection, increase of financial transparency of the enterprises and the organizations. All these will allow creating conditions for considerable inflow of long-term investment resources to economy of Russia in the near future
