THE ANALYSIS OF INTERNATIONAL INDEXES OF DIFFERENTIATION OF SPATIAL POTENTIAL OF THE REGION

Abstract

Differentiation of economic development of territory is a result of poling process of economic space caused by distribution unevenness of economic activity concentration at various levels. To estimate spatial potential of the regions and separate countries the authors suggest using statistical indicators measuring the development of the territories. The authors of the article estimated separate indexes characterizing the development of spatial potential of economic freedom index, prosperity index, global index of innovations and globalization index characteristic for various countries. The countries with excellent economic systems, such as Russia, the USA, China are especially singled out. The research is carried out by the authors in the retrospective period from 2012 to 2016 On the basis of the research the following conclusions are made. Russia improved separate indicators. However there is serious recession in the sectors of business, safety and personal freedom. But Russia stably improves the sub-index of innovations resources, though according to the efficiency of innovative activity the country»s position is much weaker. That means insufficiently effective realization of the available innovative potential. Nevertheless, experts mark the improvement of business climate and growth of innovative potential of the country, despite separate adverse political and business factors.
