STANDARD OF LIVING OF THE POPULATION: COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS AND OF CONSUMPTION FEATURES OF YOUNG CITIZENS

Abstract

One of the criteria of social and economic development of the country is the living standard of the population which reflects the degree of satisfaction of the requirements of the person and his involvement in labour and social activity. The living standard demonstrates the provision of the citizens with a set of profit-consumer characteristics, quantitative values of which allow estimating social consequences of social and economic policy implemented by the state and the regions. In the article the questions of revealing of the key factors influencing the indicator ‘living standard’ are considered. The analysis of statistical values allows estimating the efficiency of the actions improving the given criterion. To illustrate the situation the basic indicators of the living standard of the population in Russia and in Moscow region are given. In the work possible variants of processes management aimed at change of index values of the living standard in Moscow area are described. The structure of population expenses is given in details, allowing to reveal the basic tendencies in the consumption sphere. The attention is especially paid to the youth and their relation to perspective possibilities of increase of the living standard, as this category of citizens dynamically reacts to social and economic changes. Deep and all-round analysis of the local factors, study and estimation of the parametres of human development are necessary at working out of the directions and concrete measures in the field of social policy aimed at increase of the living standard in certain regions of Russia. Smoothing of regional differentiation will allow carrying out measures for increase of the living standard in conformity with the interests of the population more effectively. The analysis has allowed to reveal some features in formation and provision of the living standard of the population in Moscow region
