Choice Problems and the Survey of the Market of Project Management Automation Systems

The problem of choice of effective applied decision for automation of project management is actual not only in the project-oriented organizations for which projects/ projects portfolios make the basis of the business model. Introduction of project management and its integration with operational activity becomes characteristic for process- oriented enterprises and defines their need in the choice of the optimum tool of automated support of the problems solution of project management. The choice of project management information system (PMIS) should correspond to the enterprise scale, level of maturity of its project management, formalization of business processes and to be based on business and functional requirements of potential users. Management of the enterprises underestimates now the possibilities of integrated information systems of complex automated support of project management in the efficiency increase of financial and economic activity and prefers to use separate tool of content, calendar-network and resource planning. The choice of the optimum tool of projects management adequate to the requirements of the enterprise should be based on the results of the detailed analysis of functionality of various classes PMIS suggested in the IT market and the ways of their development in the course of integration into current IT Infrastructure. The results of the carried out research can be used for the such analysis.Downloads
