Abstract

Marketplaces play a key role in modern e-commerce providing platforms for interaction between sellers and buyers and optimizing business processes related to promotion of goods and services. The purpose of the article is to identify the possibilities of optimizing business processes in the companies when they interact on the marketplaces. Value proposals of marketplaces improve the interaction of the buyers and sellers, as well as contribute to optimization of the company's business processes and its economic development. Typification of marketplaces according to various criteria (sources of origin, sales channels, types of customers, etc.) is suggested in the study. The monetization process of marketplaces and providing high-quality service, including fulfillment and conflict resolution functions are considered. The features of the companies' work on the marketplaces using various interaction systems are disclosed. The advantages and disadvantages of logistics schemes for companies on the existing marketplaces in Russia are revealed. The possibilities of business processes optimization of sales companies in the work with marketplaces were identified.
