The article is devoted to the development of the Altai Territory (Russian Federation) as a border region with the involvement of production capacity and capabilities of the neighbour region, East Kazakhstan region (Republic of Kazakhstan). The theory of formation of regional economic integration, trends, problems and prospects of the Eurasian Economic Union are considered. Development of the border region from the point of view of growth poles theory is shown. Agricultural engineering is presented as the main branch of cooperation of the Altai Territory and East Kazakhstan region. The need of agricultural organizations of the Altai Territory and East Kazakhstan region in agricultural machinery is calculated. The development of agricultural engineering of the Altai Territory and the adjacent territories is considered. The organizational form of management of the enterprises making up the local development axis is disclosed and the effect of these enterprises functioning is demonstrated.Downloads
